Thomas’s Ham ‘N’ Eggery
325 Old Country Road  Carle Place, NY

Food & Drinks: Unlike most “diners” on Long Island, Thomas’s doesn’t try to have a menu with a ridiculous and random assortment of food, like lobster tails and gyros ( neither of which I would trust getting from a diner, anyway). Their menu is short and sweet, with options like frittatas, stuffed french toast, and chocolate chip almond waffles, to name a few. The Nutella stuffed french toast topped with bananas was delicious, but the raspberry stuffed french toast had an overbearing tartness. Their frittatas are served in skillets with the perfect amount of cheese, so they stay hot and make an omelet look like child’s play.

Ambiance: A cozy eatery with attentive (will ask you if you need a coffee refill 100 times) wait staff, & a long wait during weekends/breakfast hours.

Overall: Out of the several diners in the area, I’d rather make Thomas’s my regular spot. It’s worth going to, even with a wait. Take note: they only accept cash.
